European and National legislation

 

 

E-commerce in Italy is regulated by EU and national legislation:

Italian Law:

  • Decree n. 50/92, about off premises contracts;
  • Decree n. 114/98 which modified Italian legislation on trade;
  • Decree n. 185/99 (deriving by the Directive 97/7/EC) on distance selling;
  • Decree n. 318/99 on privacy, which provides with more details what already established by the law n. 675/96, article 15;
  • Decree n. 10/02 (deriving by the Directive 1999/93/EC) on a Community framework for electronic signatures;
  • Decree n. 70/03 (deriving by the Directive 2000/31/EC) on electronic commerce;
  • Decree n. 206 (Consumer Code);
  • Issue n. 3487 of Ministry of Economic Development, of 1 june 2000, on “product selling by electronic means”.
  • Decree 21/14 deriving by Directive 2011/83 on consumer rights
