Software updating\u00a0\u00a0of mobile phones would have been offered to consumers\u00a0\u00a0without informing them on\u00a0\u00a0the possible consequences that the updating may cause to their devices and without providing\u00a0\u00a0useful information to maintain an adequate level of\u00a0\u00a0performance of the product, often advertised and purchased for its specific and high technological characteristics.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Such behavior could represent an infringement of articles 20, 21, 22 and 24 of the Consumer Code.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">To this end, the Authority has carried out inspections at the businesses premised in cooperation with\u00a0\u00a0the Antitrust Unit of the Guardia di Finanza, supported\u00a0\u00a0by their colleagues from\u00a0\u00a0the Special Unit of Technological Frauds .<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Italian Competition Autority\u00a0\u00a0has started\u00a0\u00a0two separate investigations against\u00a0\u00a0the Samsung and Apple group companies operating in Italy as a\u00a0result of\u00a0\u00a0several complaints got from consumer and preliminary investigation carried out of its own motion.
