Help and advice for consumers in Europe

The European Consumer Centre Italy (ECC Italy) is the national contact point of the European Consumer Centre Network (ECC-Net), co-funded by the European Commission and the Member States whose aim is to increase consumer confidence when they engage in cross-border transactions by providing free information and advice on their rights, as well as assistance with resolving their cross-border consumer complaints.

There is a European Consumer Centre in every EU Country as well as in Norway, Iceland and United Kingdom.

We inform you on your rights; we help you to assess your complaint by identifying the applicable law and the means of redress available. We assist you to draft your complaint if you have not yet submitted it to the trader. We can deal directly with your complaint in cooperation with the European Consume Centre of the country where the trader is based if you are unable to resolve your dispute with the trader directly. If our attempt is not successful, you have further means of redress such as the Alternative Dispute resolution procedures (ADR) and the European Small Claims procedure (ESCP).

Find more information about ECC-Net by visiting eccnet.eu.

The ECC-Net contacts the trader on your behalf and tries to find an amicable settlement of the dispute but It has not the power to impose any refund or compensation.
